  but not as easily as SmartClose, which is also free. I found little help in the Alacrity help section; I didn't need to look for help with SmartClose

  Pros

  I love the fact that this product is very configurable and customizable. It takes most, if not all of the guesswork of figuring out which processes you can do without based on which program you're trying run.

  Cons

  Make sure you go through the tutorial! Setting up different profiles requires a little bit of thought and planning.

  It is easy to use and highly configurable and it works!

  Pros

  The more I use it the more I will become familiar with what works and does't work. It worked the way I thought it was going to after learning what to do.

  Trying to understand what to do and getting familiar with the product.

  Summary

  The product is very functional and it works very good the way it is. Once I get familiar with it, I may have some comments or suggestions about how to make it better or to add what I would feel it needs.

  It works well once you understand how to program it.

  Cons

  Need more justification why or why not a process is needed to be active or not. Have not had trouble using the hints, but there may be more than can be turned off or should never be turned off if I have the information.

  Great product. Works as advertised. Use for MS Flight Sim and need all the memory I can get without crashing...the program or the plane....or both.

  Pros

  Alacrity takes the pain and guesswork out of shutting down services within Windows to enable better performance when running Flight Sim. There are built in safeguards that protect you from shutting down essential stuff and everything reverts to normal when you have finished using it.
