Used AdminEasy for Windows?
Editors’ Review
This tiny utility makes it simple to set select system tweaks. AdminEasy's dual screen interface merely lists over 50 check box settings. An eight-page PDF lists one or two-line explanations for each setting. The program's About tab informs users that the author has stopped making updates as of 2007.
The user need only tick some settings--that's the extent of the user interaction. The Set Restriction screen controls Desktop, Explorer, Network, and Internet Explorer settings. Click check boxes to hide system functions, disable select controls, and remove specific icons and folders. Many settings are accomplished using system commands or in other applications. However, novice users will appreciate the Quick Settings. One click will set specific check boxes to lock down your machine for use in School, Cyber Cafe, or a Highly Restricted environment. The final check box clears all other check boxes to remove all restrictions. The Tweak Settings disables Windows settings users rarely set without the aid of an application. AdminEasy invokes any or all of the 19 settings with just a few clicks.
AdminEasy isn't going to satisfy power uses bent of controlling every aspect of their system. It will please a small set of users looking for these specific tweaks. There's no reason not to take a look at the app. It's freeware and doesn't require installation.
