Used AD Inspector for Windows?
Editors’ Review
Quickly identify issues in your Active Directory containers with this very simple freeware tool, but be warned that some users have reported accuracy issues. AD Inspector largely resembles Windows Explorer's detail view interface. You won't find a help file here, but if you have the skill to operate Active Directory, you won't need any assistance using this utility.
AD Inspector's filter criteria are comprehensive and quite easy to set. Simple check boxes select most options, but the program helpfully adds simple calendar selectors for date fields and a general search string box. Clearing all filters takes a simple click. Highlighting older results is easily accomplished by selecting the number of days, although we wished we had the ability to choose the highlight color for increased readability. The same is true for highlighting nonexpiring passwords. Once you've set your filter parameters, you merely click a button to display results. The program is quick, and it uses little memory overhead.
Some longtime users have identified accuracy issues with the filtered results, but we found no problems during our tests. System administrators tasked with using Active Directory will quickly uncover issues with this freeware.
