  Pros

  It installed easily. Found lots of "stuff/issues".

  Cons

  The "trial" fix of 100k "issues" locked me out of my Avast antivirus. The services were disabled and I could not restart them due to an Access is Denied error. Ironically, that was why I downloaded this pile of bits in the first place. Fortunately my AV was able to fix itself, but who knows what other surprises this little scamware has in store for me. I might have to wipe and reinstall my Windows 7. Thank you SO much publisher, you are not getting my $25 and may get a call from my lawyer should I not be able to "access" any of my stuff. Ripoff.

  Pros

  The option to change the amount of resources used when scanning is great for when scans are running and I am using the computer. I love the undo and pending apply features. Everything you need to get to is on the tabs.

  Cons

  The GUI is a little bland and small for a lot of the information, but it was easy to find all the information I needed and was easy to navigate. Sometimes the information is a little overwhelming - too much detail for non-techies.

  Summary

  This program found TONS of security issues on my computer. After reading the help, I learned that most of what it found was just efficiency fixups that allowed access to files to happen faster. However, it still found hundreds of security holes and fixed them up. I found messed up security settings on files from some very well-known software vendors. Some were using HUGE amounts of memory and some had invalid entries. I thought I understood how to manage security on my files and folders pretty well but after reading the help and doing more research I found out how easily applications can change things on me and ACLSweep found and fixed them. This is a great tool, just hoping the GUI matures a little in future versions.
