Editors' Review

In spite of its simplicity, this free program helps expedite the process of launching programs, opening files, and browsing the Web. Although RunFast's Control Panel can be accessed via the system-tray icon, most of the user interaction occurs in the command-line box that appears after you press a hot key. Simply clicking the drop-down menu lets you quickly perform your desired function. The program comes with built-in settings for doing such things as opening the Recycle Bin, rebooting your PC, checking your e-mail, and surfing Yahoo. When you want to add your own custom tasks, you simply drag and drop the program into the list or type a URL before assigning it a command line. Since it won't cost you a dime, we think all multitaskers, compulsive Web surfers, and time-pressed users can benefit from what RunFast offers.

Developer's Description

Launch programs, files, folders, and Web sites.
RunFast is a command-line utility that allows you to quickly launch programs, files, folders, and even Web sites. It's very powerful, convenient, and a great alternative to the Run option in the Start menu. When it starts, the RunFast icon is created in the system tray. Right-click on the icon for a list of options. Left-click on the icon or press the hot key to open the RunFast box where you can enter in things, such as a program or filename, and RunFast will open them. RunFast also supports aliases, which allow you to create custom commands. RunFast is a great tool for anyone who uses the Run option often or for anyone who just wants to open things faster.
