Rear View Mirror is motion detection program that can work with any web camera and shows alerts with a pop-up or notification sound. It can also work with remote network cameras that support MJPEG streaming. It was originally written as a way to use a web camera as a mirror in an office cubical, alerting someone when another person walks into his or her cube. It displays camera window when detecting motion and saves video whenever motion is detected. It allows local cameras to be accessed remotely with web browsers and supports multiple cameras. You can play configurable alert sound when motion is detected. It shows users currently connected to your web camera.
