The Mouse and Key Recorder is an enhanced automation tool, which allows recording and replaying virtually every data input by keyboard and mouse. The Recorder not just records all keyboard and mouse activities in any window, but it also contains about 80 additional commands. These commands allow controlling the macro run (loops, conditions, goto, and variables.), manipulating files (delete, rename), starting or switching to programs, manipulating cursors, reading/writing files, logging your keystrokes, etc, etc. The Mouse and Key Recorder activities are stored in a clear and compact way. This makes it easy to edit them. The macros can be replayed interactively, by a scheduler or by command line. The Mouse and Key Recorder contain a fully working de-installer. The Recorder can be used for three month without a license.

Pros
A super program that I've used >many< times in the past 5 years. The basic functions are easy to understand and execute. BUT, it's power increases exponentially as your understanding of computer programming grows.
Cons
Mine is v 6.2. If I recall, it did take me some effort to get it in English, including the help file. And it appears the Forum is almost all German? HOWEVER, I asked John for help once or twice (in English) and he was quick to respond.
Summary
If you're interested, perhaps write John an email and ask, first, how to acquire the English edition - if possible? $23. is, I feel, a fair price for a power packed program which took many man-hours to develop.

To work this program out if you are anything other than english you can google ka-tronic which will tell you all in english. When you go to change the launguge in options (quite easy to translate) and select english gb it says that the keyboard launguage is not in this download you just need to go to ka-tronics website to fix this.

Powerful, lots of options, works great.

Not a problem for me, but someone who knows nothing about computer programming may find it hard to use. This version wants to default to German (as did their link to Pay Pal) and it took a little bit of effort to get it changed to English.
Summary
Great application if you have repetitive tasks to do. I've used a previous version for years because of changes in Internet Explorer it was time to upgrade. Well worth the money.

Summary
I've been looking for something this simple and basic for a long time! It does what it says plus more. Its very uncomplicated and easy to understand, doesnt try to hide its simplicity behind restrictive "shortcuts". Its saved me loads of time entering data, switching between applications, repeat actions... Spot on! keep it up! and $23!! a bargain if you ask me!

This is an amazing tool for Tablet PC's. My ACER tablet has buttons that can be set for macros. If these wern't need for other uses, I'd use them. When I start the tablet, "Mouse and Key Recorder" checks my e-mail, cleans the SPAM from the system, and stsrts programs that I use frequently. "Mouse and Key Recorder" is stable, uninvasive, and non taxing to the OS. Short, a must tool for the lazy person. "Mouse and Key Recorder", keep making it better.
