Garden Organizer Deluxe aims to help coordinate gardens and remember all the fine details that go into growing plants. While its intentions are good, we hated operating this claustrophobic program.
The program's interface got off to a bad start with us and things didn't really improve. While we generally viewed gardening as a happy, fun hobby, this program did nothing to reflect that spirit. With its gray layout and enormous collection of microscopic command icons, we felt nothing but dread navigating our way through this program. We needed to seriously study the Help file's instructions because nothing about this program was intuitive. The overall aim was good, which divided information into five separate databases for Plants, Ideas, Projects, Contacts, and Web sites. However, entering in information, links and photos was a constant chore that revolved around determining which of the tiny icons performed the job we wanted and trying to view our collection of data, as it seemed hidden. At no point did we feel comfortable with this program and dreaded the idea of using this regularly to store our gardening information. The program offered features to improve the interface's layout, colors, and graphics, but these, too, felt flat and the results were unhelpful.
Garden Organizer has a 30-day trial. The program installs desktop icons without permission and leaves behind folders after uninstall.
