Used Filehand Search for Windows?
Editors’ Review
This search program works more like an Internet search engine than the Windows search function, finding words within files. Filehand Search lets you specify folders and file types to index. It supports the most popular document formats, including DOC, RTF, TXT, PDF, and HTML. However, its media-search capabilities are limited to MP3 files. The program can't index EXE, ZIP, or image files. Indexing didn't take much time in our test. However, our major complaint is that you can't filter, sort, or save search results. If you need to find a particular document whose filename you have forgotten but whose content you remember, Filehand Search might be worth a try.
