Extreme Password Generator Pro for Windows

It's fast, flexible, and free, which is a nice combination for a password generator. There's not much in the way of design to Extreme Password Generator, but the plain layout is easy to follow and use.

The compact tabbed interface starts with the Generate button to create passwords. That tab also lets you determine password length and the number of passwords to generate. Other tabs allow you to specify using upper case, lower case, numbers, and special characters. While these are fairly standard for a password generator, this app offers some smart options that allow you to include words in your password mix. The built-in dictionary is fairly large, but allows you to add or delete words with a couple of clicks. You can easily also set a prefix or suffix for passwords.

Extreme Password Generator does allow you to create a single password and copy it to the clipboard, but you can also generate a user-set number of passwords. As soon as you hit generate, a dialog box opens prompting you to choose the directory and file name for the list of generated passwords. Nearly all actions are performed with check boxes and buttons, so most users won't miss the lack of a Help file.

Extreme Password Generate works simply and simply works. If you're looking for an easy to use program to create passwords, you should give this very effective freeware a try.
