Driver Magician offers a solution for device drivers backup, restoration, update and removal in Windows operating system. It identifies all the hardware in the system, extracts their associated drivers from the hard disk and backs them up to a location of your choice. Then when you format and reinstall/upgrade your operating system, you can restore all the saved drivers just as if you had the original driver diskettes in your hands. After one system reboot, your PC will be loaded and running with the required hardware drivers.

Apps should state, clearly, up front that they are not free-ware. That way people will not waste time, especially when they are looking for a fix for a problem they are having.

A good way to back up current drivers in the event you need to restore your computer.
Cons
Windows probably has good enough SW to keep your drivers up-to-date (in Vista and Windows 7).

Redundant for updating drivers, but good for backing them up Making a backup of drivers every 6 months is probably good enough.

Since installing Driver Magician my drivers are never out of date. The features of this package are terrific. The ability to save Microsoft or non-Microsoft or both is a nice feature.
Cons
I haven't found any problems yet.
Summary
The ease of notification and use is absolutely fantastic. The support is great especially for someone like me who has not had a lot of experience updating. being able to install, and store any of the files that are sent is a big plus. The system is not in the least bit intimidating. The program updates are frequent and there hasn't been a glitch yet. THANK YOU Driver Magician.

I got only one update (Ethernet card)... I know I have at least 4 out-of-date drivers. Also, you cannot download anything unless you pay them $30.

It's really not something I will buy, especially when there is something better, and free (RadarSync is my choice...for now)

I do work recycling computers for those who cannot afford to by them and this is the best tool I have had as I can save all drivers before wiping the hard drive and re-installing the OS and all the open source software I put on these machines.

Driver Magician tells me to update NVIDIA drivers and downloads them. But after their installation, Driver Magician tells me again that I need to update these same NVIDIA drivers
