• FOUND IT TO BE FULL OF TROJANS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  I DON'T LIKE IT!!!! IT USES SPYWARE AND TROJANS AND THEY ARE IN ZIP FILE FORMAT!!!!!

  HATED THAT IT ATTACKED MY MACHINE AND CAUSED A SHUTDOWN.

• a good secondary scanner

  Pros

  has a huge data base. scans are quick. found a couple of trojans that spyware terminator missed. a good secondary scanner.

  no realtime protection and options are a bit limited.

  if you are having problems removing a spyware infection then this might be worth a go. when i checked out its data base it was huge. it should be used as a secondary spyware program as it has no realtime protection. it completes a full scan relatively quick (20mins on xp sp3 ) and it found a couple of trojans on my system that spyware terminator missed. a handy little program to have.

• Great Antispyware

  Pros

  IT has one of the best detections I've ever seen, it even picked up spyware that others like ad-aware, spybot, spyware terminator and windows defender missed! It is also very fast to scan and has an undo section that allows you to restore fixed problems. Overall Great antispyware and very easy to use.

  Cons

  Lacks some features like real-time protection, and other guards you might find on different antispyware products.

  this isnt the best but it is a good spyware program, ..right now besides ad-aware i have a new favorite called spywareprotector, it doesnt get any better then that program. and another program similar to hijackthis called autorun3. great programs

  Pros

  Uses very little system resources during scans. Finds most malware and gives some info on them. Nice (though cartoon-like) GUI. It's free and good to use as a back-up.

  Updates full program instead of definitions, and not very often. No real time protection.

  Pros

  Nice GUI. Kinda "cartoon" like icons. Able to scan more that one drive at a time and has an undo feature. Updates from what I can tell is just for new versions of the program and not for updating the database.

  Cons

  Too many VERY GOOD FREE programs out there that you can use instead of relying on this one for your anti-spyware protection. <p>My advice: stick with Ad-Aware SE personal,Spybot S&D and A-Squared.

  Easy install and uninstall. I like it more than Spybot-Search&Destroy because it causes no annoying pop-ups.
