• Works Well On Large Files

  Pros

  It found full resolution embedded jpeg files within my 70mb Canon Raw files. Saved a complete set of images. It's intuitive and easy to operate. It's also pretty fast, considering the files sizes that I was dealing with.

  Cons

  It crashed about three times. Once I limited the files that I wanted to recover, then it found the embedded jpeg files and copied them to my HD

  Summary

  Not entirely stable, but it recovered full resolution jpeg files on a Compact Flash card that had been reformatted. I saw files left from several reformats ago, but it tended to show the latest.

• Very easy and very fast scan

  Pros

  This is able to recover a number of different photo file formats including dozens of RAW file types. The initial scan is amazingly fast.

  Cons

  None so far.

  Summary

  Fast scan, easy to use, supports a very wide variety of files. I have tried a few other different programs and Digital PhotoRescue Pro seems to have recovered all the files that were inexplicably gone from my USB hard drive.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Oct 22, 2010<p/>I should clarify, the RAW formats supported are for Canon (CR2 and CRW), Sony, Kodak, Mamiya, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax, Epson, Fuji, Konica, Sigma.

  Pros

  This program really save my life. I've erased wedding photos by accident and my wife really wanted to kill me. Thanks God and Google - I found PhotoRescue. Amazing result - all of my images was returned to life.
