• Awesome software!

  Pros

  Easy to purchase, download, install and run. It found all my client's files after an accidental format of their hard drive - a different recovery software found none of them. Cost $30 - other software was $73 with no refund for poor performance.

  Cons

  None - worked like a dream!

  Summary

  Excellent - best software I've ever seen for data recovery in 26 years in I.T.

  ertyertyer w 4rtwre4t45 ty<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Jul 10, 2014<p/>I had a hard drive that failed - Windows kept telling me it needed to be formatted before it could be used. I purchased PC3 based on reviews such as this, but when I ran the program it refused to find the drive! I could see it in Explorer(it even had a drive letter assigned), showed up as a 'raw' drive in Disk Management, but nothing in PC3. Reinstalled the program, hit rescan the disks several times, rebooted a few times, still nothing. Called up tech support, but they weren't much help. Since I work during their support hours I couldn't be at my computer, and they refused to provide support unless I was physically at my computer! They wouldn't even offer any suggestions other than to say it was 'unusual' for PC3 to not see a drive that windows could. Of course they refused to refund my money, but I'm not going to take off a day from work to troubleshoot their software. Downloaded the demo version of Zero Assumption Recovery and it had no trouble seeing the drive. Lesson learned.

  I wasted 2 days with this program, it has to scan your drive when you run it but it never completes the scan because it hangs the PC in the middle of scanning and you have to reboot! wasting hours of scanning. First time I though maybe something went wrong, and I decided to run it again from the start, after 5 hours of scanning it hanged again, I could not even move a mouse or use keyboard, need to reboot. 3rd time again it hangs, 6 hours of scanning wasted. I contacted support 5 days ago, they never responded. So I will be getting my money back, and looking for a better program that actually works.

• It's making me money!!

  Pros

  I bought this product last week and it's great!I bought the IT version so I could recover peoples data as side job, and I quickly made the money back for what I paid for it and then some. I love that it is bootable too, I love the GUI. They have a demo you can download and boot into to see what I'm talking about. All I take with me to customers house is the bootable cd and my external hard drive to put their data on it temporary. RecoverSoft has a new fan!!

  Why they waited so long to make this product for Windows b/c this product was first made for the MAC, it's only been out for Windows since march, that's why it's not alot of hype about it yet!!
