Body Makeover is packed with animated body workouts, exercise instructions, and simple calculators, but it seems more like a glorified e-book than an application.
The program doesn't require installation; just run the executable file and you're good to go. It has simple navigation buttons that makes it easy to flip through pages of information (leg and abdominal workouts, Pilates, and plyometrics) and calculators. Body Makeover's animated graphics are a nice touch for the exercise demos. You'll find a number of calculators to determine body fat percentage, BMI, daily calorie intake, and calorie expenditures. A 20-day low-cal diet plan is included, but you won't find the exercise or meal planners that are standard in similar fitness apps. There's also no way to track your progress over time.
Though it has quite a bit of information, Body Makeover reads and feels more like an electronic magazine than an interactive program. The one-session trial period didn't win us over either. There are tons of fitness apps on the market, and while this one can get you started, it won't help you plot the success of your efforts.
