This food database displays detailed nutritional information for your daily food intake, but its design may be too convoluted for some. NutriGenie Nutrition 2005's interface has multiple buttons, but no tool tips or guide to using them. Though you enter weight and other information at setup, you'll have to reenter it to use features like the Cholesterol Profile or Weight Control Planner. The program offers quite a few tools, a BMI calculator and blood pressure tracker among them, but its diet planning features aren't as flexible. You can create a daily menu and save it in one format, recognized only by the program, but you can't add a date and file names are limited. It's fairly easy to add foods to meals, and comprehensive nutritional information is provided for each item and the meal as a whole. The trial version disables or limits access to some features. This program offers a great deal, but most users, especially novices, will want an easier-to-use nutrition guide.
