BT CAM is heavily (90%) based on macam it adds an auto save feature that lets you specify the time interval for the app to save your picture. The auto save saves the picture as a jpg instead of a tiff making it usable on the web. So you can set the time / path / file name / and time interval to save.
BTCam Viewer - this is a java applet that lets you host use your webcam on your website without using meta refresh or anything to update the image. It also lets the user draw on your image as the image is getting continously updated by BT Cam. There is more like a pause and zoom(it will pause) feature on the user side instead of the server side.
This supports the exact same USB webcams as macam if it doesn't work on macam it won't work here
Has FTP Support (please report issues)
Has an archive feature that lets you add date/time to the name of the image being saved
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com. Great app, only it needs FireWire (iSight) camera support. I like the FTP uploading feature, but I can't find a cheap USB webcam to use. I have a FireWire cam, and if it were supported it would be perfect.
