Get a cross-platform in-house messaging & file transfer utility.
SnapMail is the cross-platform private messaging and file transfer utility for your office. Instantly send messages, files, reminders, and alerts on your network. Unlike instant messaging, SnapMail uses peer-to-peer technology and does not rely on Internet servers to send mail within your local network. This makes SnapMail a very fast in-house messaging system that complements your Internet email. All of your messaging can be conducted without fear of accidentally sending mail out of your company. In addition, there is no junk mail and no non-company e-mailing. You can be sure that everything in SnapMail is company business. SnapMail also connects remote offices securely across the Internet, creating a "virtual LAN".
Read all the positive reviews on the Glassbead site.... They are true. This cheap software is an absolute must in an office where folks need to communicate with each other all day. From remote sites too with Screen Share or VPN's.
Cons
However, this company seems to have gone out of business. They do not respond to any inquiry and they haven't upgraded since MAC OS 10.6. AND the product does not work beyond Snow Leopard-sadly. I keep hoping to hear from Glassbead, but I'm losing faith.
Summary
We need an upgrade if this software is not an orphan.

Plus it keeps the information in house and fast. Thanks!!

Well you certainly have these sorted. It has resumed its place as Numer One !
