Evocative visuals in this wildlife-themed screensaver compensate for its bare-bones feature set. 3D Serengeti Safari transports you to the plains of Africa, where a few lone trees stand motionless beneath a sky with slowly moving clouds. As you watch, various animals stroll across your screen, including zebras, gazelles, cheetahs, and elephants. Though the background and the animals are reasonably well drawn, the trees and the grass are static, and the animated animals move choppily, even on a fast PC. Appropriate nature sounds (the thunder of stampeding gazelles, for instance) accompany the arrival of each species, but unfortunately you can't choose which animals you want to see, or how many. As a matter of fact, the program offers only a thin set of customization options, including volume, time of day, and tint control. And while 3D Serengeti Safari contains no adware, its nag screen is obtrusive, partially obscuring the otherwise attractive view. 3D Serengeti Safari gets a solid recommendation, but we think it could benefit from more features and improved graphics.

Ran the download. The install said Safari was not a browser, but a screen saver. Cancelled on the msoft unblessed software box. My screen saver doesn't work now. Found uninstall string in registry, but it has no effect - trying to recoup. Don't need this crap at work.
