Publisher's Description
From Amphony:
Looking for a way to build your iPod music collection automatically without having to spend time ripping CDs or downloading MP3s? iGetMusic will grow your music collection automatically with access to 6 million songs - free and legally - by recording from popular music services such as AOL Radio and Yahoo! Launchcast. iGetMusic songs are full length without missing anything at the beginning or ending - essentially as if copied directly from a CD. Songs are automatically named and tagged with 100% accurate Title, Artist and Album information. Album covers can be automatically saved as well. Songs are stored in the AAC Plus (m4a) format which offers the same audio quality as MP3 at half the file size thus doubling the number of songs you can put on your iPod.
What's new in this version: Version 1.2 fixes issues with license key registration.

"Waaaaay to complicated/under-developed for average user"
Version: iGetMusic Pro 1.1
Pros
nothing good to say
Cons
Everything except that its freeware.
Summary
Terribly difficult to set up. Then once you're set up and you go to use it, even more complicated.. Create my own sub-folders for every music genre just to keep it all organized? Rather just pay for the music than to do all the work this requires.

"Good stuff!"
Version: iGetMusic Pro 1.1
Pros
Works as advertised. Downloads associated information, including album covers. Puts music where you tell it.
Cons
Can no longer access AOL or Yahoo music without first engaging the iGetMusic software.
Summary
Downloaded the free trial version last night (3/13/20010) and knew I had to have the unrestricted version - purchased it within the hour. A key was sent to me by email, which I pasted into the "register" section of the software and I was off and running. Browser settings need to be modified, which you can easily do by following the instructions under the [Help] button.
You start the software, name the folder you want the music to be stored in, then open the browser and navigate to the music and start it (Yahoo and AOL only). Then you go about your business and let it work. There is a short delay (they say 3 minutes) until you see the titles of the recorded music appear in the software box.
I'm storing the music in my Zune collection and will sync sometime tomorrow. Music is stored in MP4 format which can be converted to MP3 with a converter that they make available for download. I may not do that, since the Zune plays MP4. -
"Great product! Worked very well."
Version: iGetMusic Pro 1.1
Pros
Sound difference between tracks acquired through igetmusic and those bought through itunes are negligible. I bought the full version and it was a great "bang for your buck" product.
Cons
None that I can see.
Summary
Worth the 39.95 for the full version. I am increasing my itunes library by thousands of songs in just a short time.
-
"Great program. No problem setting up with Firefox."
Version: iGetMusic Pro 1.1
Pros
Easy to set up -easy to use. The program has a great help file. There is a 5 song limit but you can just restart the program. I think there is a 10 day trial period but I bought the program within an hour's use.
Cons
I would like to be able to save the default folder where music is saved.
Summary
The program functions exactly as advertised. Well worth the money. Hint: After configuring your browser make sure you start the program and service before you restart the browser at the music websites. I have 3 sites open at the same time with no problem. There are a few tricks for getting songs quickly but the fun is in experimenting. Enjoy.

"Easy to use, Like the CD art"
Version: iGetMusic Pro 1.1
Pros
Liked to get the CD art with CD - easy to understand and use
Cons
Could only do 5 songs - not nearly enough.
Summary
I can understand they want you to buy the software, but the 5 song limit is a good start to show you how easy it is to use.
