  None... really!

  It detect a lot of errors. It tell me that there's 99.4% of error in a file while there's absolutely no error! I mean... 0.01% may not be audible, but 99.4%, i would be an idiot if i didn't noticed anything!

  Summary

  DO NOT DELETE YOUR FILES WITH THIS SOFTWARE. LISTEN TO THEM BEFORE DELETING THEM... THIS SOFTWARE IS A COMPLETE TRASH! I can't believe it have 3.5 stars...

• Finds All Errors In mp3s

  A must have for anyone who wants a perfect mp3 collection. Will find the glitches, and tell you where they are in the song. <p> <p>Say goodbye to the deafening/speaker blowing scratches you get with some mp3 downloading programs. <p> <p>Also has the option to put good/bad songs in different folders.

  Cons

  Would be VERY nice if it could fix the small inconsistencies at the beginning and end of some songs by removing the first & last frames. <p> <p>Program doesn't like variable bitrate songs (but neither do I, so that works out well).

  Pros

  This tester give you the lowdown on what shape your MP3 files are in. Many of the small errors are not audible. This is not a Be All End All program. I have used it for years and I find it valuable because it creates a log file showing information about the MP3's it tests such as bitrate size and errors found. I can refer to this later if need to. Nice program for free!

  Will not work properly on VBR's.

  It will only scan cds an whatever. I would like to scan My Shared Folder for Errors... but it seems like it don't want to. Junkware.

  I tried Mp3Test with Ashampoo and they both gave very different results. Mp3test said 5 mp3's were perfect while Ashampoo said the same 5 were corrupt. So it was quite simple I just had to listen to the mp3's and .....they were fine. Therefore mp3test was more accurate, it was quite simple actually. Oh yeah and mp3shield wasn't even close...it only found 2 when i actually had about 20.

  Easy test to help remove bad mp3 files and saves my players from errors and avoids wasted CD's by allowing me to eliminate files with errors prior to burning.

  Files with huge, audible errors along to this program have good performance while it finds errors in good files... What actually is the aim of this program? Also doesn't check subfolders.

  It checks your files and tells you not only which ones have errors, but it tells you where the errors are. This is very useful to me as I use bittorrent to download albums. When a full album hasn't been downloaded, a few files are often incomplete, and this is the easiest way to check which ones are good. The only downside: When it reports errors, it gives a percent of the file instead of the minute:second where it happens, so there's a little guesswork if you want to see the problem. Still a great program!

  i own a cyberhome home dvd player that also plays mp3 cds. it kept locking up on certain songs, and i was like, 'what the !@#$?!' then comes along this utility to tell me that yeah, the song it's trying to play is !@#$ed up. i've removed the offending files and voila, the mp3 cd reads fine.
