scans effectively,detects what others cannot. ive been using kaspersky n i tot that my system was clean but i end up reformatting my machine again n again.mwav is light,easy to use,does not slow down ur computer, i seriously love it

if u use it alone it wont remove wut it detected,u hv to dload another progm that is E SCAN PRO.u just hv to scan using mwav but they're working as a team.the only thing abt e scan pro is,its not free,well currently am using the trial version of it.

all in all.every windows must have mwav +e scan pro installed in it. at least try dis once.

It has a fairly quick scan if you use the defaults. It also seems to have a good database of signatures, and uses very little memory.
Cons
There are many cons. One of the most obvious ones is that it will not remove malware for you, just let you know you have it. Also, it doesn't clearly list the results of the scan. You have to look through a long log file to find what you want. Also, out of 10 things found, they were all false positives. Most were malware-infected websites in the restricted zone of Internet Explorer, that had been added by SpywareBlaster/SS&D.<p>If the false positives were reduced, I would consider using this, but ttfn.

Easy to install and run. Nice simple GUI and quick updates. <p>Nice if you want to see what nasties you have on your PC but that is all you get.
Cons
As with a lot of other "free" antivirus scanners that is exactly all they do...scan. <p>You get a list of "potential" viruses infecting your PC but if you want to remove them you have to BUY the program...booooo.... <p>No real-time protection. <p>Using something like this is for information only. NO REMOVAL <p>I would suggest a real good FREE real-time monitoring Anti-Virus program such as Avast,Antivir or AVG. They are not only free and are top rated they do remove any nasties they find on your system.
