It seems someone with talent is out to make money at everyone else's expense. It barely does what it says it does, poorly, and doesn't seem to break your computer enough to be apparently illegal.
I wish I could report some positive information but I simply refuse to hand over my valuable personal information without being given the opportunity to try the software out first. This is a shame since this program advertises some interesting features for a freeware program.
Virtual Webcam by "Web Solution Mart" (http://www.fakewebcam.com/) demands, as in it will not open without "registering" your email. Furthermore on the "ambush architecture" award: The exit button on the "Register" screen has been intentionally disabled. This leaves the only way to stop the program is to re-start the computer or to terminate via the Window's task manager. This feature makes me wonder if they gained experience programming for pornography pop-ups.
My email information is very valuable. I don't hand it over to every software package I try. This software by demanding my email without even offering a privacy statement is outrageous if not illegal (in the USA). The user has no guarantees if "Web Solution Mart" is going to sell their email address to every spammer on the internet (and make significant fees). If "Web Solution Mart" wants me to try their software later and re-review; remove the forced registration.

There was a reply saying that those claims are not true (i.e. doesn't sell emails), but unless the person replying worked at the company, there's no way he'd know it to not be true. The fact is the program requires you to submit an email address. This is rude, obnoxious, and to some countries, illegal. I gave them my email and went through the remaining steps and can verify the majority of the original poster's materials are true. Thankfully my operating system is a newer, 4 years later one, and most of the malware cannot afflict it as intended.
This is malware. Do not download.

These claims are totally false. Virtual webcam does not install anything neither company sells your email address. That's written in license agreement.
