How often your cursor jumps to another paragraph when you are typing a text on notebook and accentually touch a touchpad by hand? Hate this behavior? Me too. So, I've created a small program to solve this annoying problem. Touchpad Blocker automatically disables mouse events for a few moments if some key has been pressed. Why system drivers for touchpad have no such option? Strange... Touchpad is very useful device, but it's usually located right under your hands when you are typing. Accidental touch by palm moves caret to another place of text! That's why Touchpad Blocker is a must have software for notebook owners who prefer to use touchpad instead of mouse or other pointing devices. Software helps the user to type text as fast as possible by locking mouse events during a small period after any key were pressed.
What's new in this version: Fixed issue with on-screen keyboard. Mouse Up events are not blocked anymore.

Holly cow! This little program really works well. I just bought a new HP and was pretty disappointed it did not have a touchpad shut off toggle. When I type, I tend to rub the pad with my oversized palms. To be completely honest, I am somewhat embarrassed at the fact that I have killed at least 3 hard drives on laptops because I lost my cool and smacked the touchpad! No more. This works very reliably and you can make many adjustments to tweak it just the way you want it. You can even turn your touchpad off with a customizable shortcut key. Found slight sluggish keyboard problem using web-server mail on Explorer, no huge loss, I like Chrome better anyway. It's free and it will make your life soooo much better!

Pros
You can set the pause time for whatever works for you. This is perfect for my uses. As soon as I start typing, it stops the touchpad....but for just a 1/2 a second at the default setting. Then turns it back on....then off....then on....as I work, so I don't have to think about it. When I'm typing the touchpad is off...if I want to use it for anything, I just pause a second....and its on. I use it.......then start typing and its off again. Soooo exactly what I needed!
