This freeware accurately splits multipage TIFF files with efficiency and reliability, but truncates the new filenames. With TIFF Splitter's simple interface, the process is easy for users of all levels. We found the program quick and memory-efficient. However, the speed of splitting the images depends greatly upon the number of pages and files processed. We found the utility easy to use with one or many files. The program supports splitting multiple files, or you can easily select a file from within any directory.
The only inconvenience we experienced was file name truncation. TIFF Splitter's output file names only include the first seven characters of the input files. This can cause confusion in a directory of similarly-named files.
TIFF Splitter is freeware, runs with low memory and minimal disk space consumption. Anybody needing this function will find the program accurate, reliable and useful.
Publisher's description
From Compact :This program takes any multipage TIFF and splits it down into its own separate pages. It includes a browse function for both the input and output folders while displaying all selected files. The original file containing the multi-page TIFF is preserved and unaltered while the separate TIFFs are output to a user specified folder.

Version: TIFF Splitter 1.0
"asks for a particular version of .NET"
Cons: could not complete installation because it asks for a particular version of .NET, which, according to my system, I already have a newer version.

Version: TIFF Splitter 1.0
Pros: No adware or spyware. I use this in conjunction with Windows XP faxing utility. It takes multiple page faxes and converts them into individual pages. It renames the files to the same name and adds a dash followed by the page number.
Installation was very fast and easy. Do not pay hundreds elsewhere, this is a great solution!

Version: TIFF Splitter 1.0
Pros: Does exactly what it says - works simply and fairly quickly without screwing up the source or target files. A great utility that does one thing well.
Cons: The UI is not very sophisticated - but, what do you want for free? Filenames in input folder are truncated after about 7 characters, followed by "..." - so, it's sometimes difficult to differentiate between files if they all start with the same 7 characters.
It would be nice if you could manually enter (ie. type) the Input directory name, instead of having to Browse for it - the ability to do either would be nice - and if it would remember the input folder from the previous invocation. These are just minor gripes, though.

Version: TIFF Splitter 1.0
"A very simple solution to an annoying problem."
Pros: It does what it says, quickly, neatly, and with a minimum of resources. I had it downloaded, installed, and ran my first file, all in less than 5 minutes. I will use this frequently to split my efaxes into something others can read.
Cons: I assigned the file a new name when I saved it initially. Tiff Splitter wouldn't recognize it (I couldn't browse to it) until I reassigned it the original name. This is very annoying, and should be an easy fix.

Version: TIFF Splitter 1.0
"Does Exactly What I Want It to Do"
Pros: quick, easy, separates TIFFs into individual images
Cons: None. I think it's great.
Summary: I like a product that does what it says it will do, without adds and spyware, and no unnecessary frills. I am very satisfied.
