Does not work & installed SearchConduit in my browsers

Pros
There no pros for an application that does not boot and cannot be removed from a computer and whose installer slips malware into browsers.
Cons
Synapse did not work and has proved impossible to completely remove from an up to date Windows 7 system, even with Malware Bytes, CCleaner and Super AntiSpyware. Before that I had used WiseCare 365. The installer installed the malware SearchConduit.com [which was NOT offered as a special download---I declined both that appeared in the install window] as the default search engine in both FireFox and Chrome. The above programs have not helped with that either. I am re-installing both browsers in the hope that solves the problem.
Summary
An appalling experience with an appalling program. I used to trust downloads from CNET. This is the second time in 7 months I've had this problem after years with none. CNET you are being used for nefarious purposes. My faith in your organizational integrity is sinking fast. Half a star is too generous a rating for this rubbish.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Jan 19, 2014<p/>I forgot to mention that when the player did not complete initializing I went to the company's web site looking for support. There is none--only a list of commercial links--and the Read Me doc is full of jokes. I think all the positive reviews are fakes to draw foolish people like me in. I added a complete Norton scan of entire system after uninstalling and reinstalling FireFox. It looked as though I had gotten rid of SearchConduit, but on rebooting this moorning it was back in FireFox again. I've got a Trojan almost certainly. This program and the providers should be removed from CNET.

Um, can't think of any pros only its a good idea gone bad.

I never rate anything lower than a two star, this should recieve a one star, but I give two for at least trying something new, this player is a system hog, hard to configure, doesn't run properly, stick to winamp or real player, that's your safe bet.

This is innovative and COOL, and it is amusing to no end. It thinks, it knows, probably has feelings too, perhaps I will need to send it a birthday card. You will like this. These two guys that made this are very gifted.
