This handy program is a PC timer that can shut down, log off, or force your computer to hibernate. It works either as a countdown timer, or set up like an alarm clock. When the proper time is reached, SwitchOff shuts down all open applications and performs its task. You can configure it to operate daily, weekly, or for a single occurrence. The interface is basic, but well organized. It features a small memory footprint and stable operation. A simple Web interface allows you to operate it from anywhere on the Internet. You can set it to operate minimized on the desktop or as a Windows service. Anyone needing a PC timer will find this program a useful addition to their system.

Build-in operation set could be easily extended by adding your own scripts. Automation options allows you to schedule all operations daily, weekly, past specified time or when PC becomes idle.
Utility has user-friendly intuitive interface designed to seamlessly integrate into your Vista or Windows 7 system and to provide quick access to all operations through the system tray icon. Simple password protected Web interface allows you to initiate operations remotely from any computer or mobile (cell) phone with Web browser installed. Utility features small system and resource requirements, needs no additional frameworks or libraries to operate, works when either user is logged on or not.

"Works exactly as I wanted it to."

Pros
Windows XP-SP3: Does what I wanted it to do. Scheduled it to shutdown every night at midnight. When I start up the next afternoon, it loads perfectly as a service and remembers my settings. Zero problems with install and super easy GUI.
Cons
None for me.
