Smarty Uninstaller is a good tool for ridding your computer of unwanted programs, especially those that sink in deep roots. While the Windows Uninstaller that comes with your operating system can get rid of many apps just fine, others require a little more force and finesse, which is what you'll find in this app.

Pros

Digging deeper: The first step this program takes is to run the uninstaller that comes with the app you're trying to remove. However, while many file managers would stop there, this program goes deeper. After that uninstaller is finished, this app searches for remaining files associated with the removed program and gives you the option to delete them as well. You can also use the Force Uninstall feature to eliminate particularly stubborn apps.

Snapshot file: If you have this app running when you install a new program, you can use the Snapshot Install tool to monitor the installation process itself. This involves keeping track of changes the new app makes to your system, including any changes to files on your Hard Drive or in your Windows Registry, so the program can later be removed without running its own uninstaller.

Cons

Dangers of inexperience: Because it does dig so deep, this app can be dangerous in the hands of inexperienced users. Some of the files it brings back as associated with a removed app are actually files shared by other programs you want to keep, and deleting them will cause those programs to stop working. This isn't so much of an issue for experienced users, however.

Bottom Line

Smarty Uninstaller is a powerful option for getting rid of unwanted apps on your Windows machine. New users may have a hard time determining what files to remove and what to leave in place in some cases, but overall, the app is a good choice for most people.

Smarty Uninstaller is a software that allows you to completely uninstall programs (64 and 32-bit) installed on your system. It monitors the built-in application uninstaller and uses an advanced scan engine that deletes any program leftovers. It allows you to launch the scan engine manually at any time to force uninstall a program with broken uninstaller.

Featuring an intuitive and modern interface, Smarty Uninstaller displays in the main window all installed software, broken installations, system components and Windows updates. The grouping feature allows you to organize applications into logical groups and view grouped programs in separate tabs. You can add comments to installed applications which will be displayed on the main window when an application is selected. In addition to the smart scan engine, Smarty Uninstaller provides you with an easy to use but effective feature - Smarty Snapshot. It allows you to monitor the installation of new applications and detect every change made to your system during this process. These changes are saved to the snapshot, that can be accessed later at any time for review or complete uninstall.
