This program is designed to allow absolute beginners to create Web sites and online photo albums. SiteGenWiz divides the main screen into two parts. On the left, you enter commands and set options, and the right side provides a detailed explanation on how each function works. This way of distributing help where you need it should prove convenient for new users, although it doesn't fully make up for the lack of the more standard page-generation wizard. The program only has about 10 templates, which is not much. After making your site, you can publish it online with the freeware's FTP connection feature. Because of template limitations and the quirky interface, we can't bring ourselves to give it our highest recommendation, but people who don't want to learn HTML may find SiteGenWiz quite useful.Publisher's description

Automatically generate site maps and image galleries. Also available is seamless integration of other HTML documents. Version: SiteGenWiz 1.5
"Easy, powerful HTML editor AND WYSIWYG site generator"
Pros: This is easy and very intuitive - can view in HTML mode OR Site mode (wysiwyg). Easy enough for beginners - sophisticated enough for those who want to get their hands dirty in the HTML code
Cons: haven't found one yet, but I've just started using it.

Version: SiteGenWiz 1.5
Pros: very basic, too basic
Cons: Use at your own risk. Too basic. Lost a whole weeks work of an already saved project in 30 seconds after clicking on "auto-save project on exit". Who would think that auto-save project on exit will mean replace an already saved project several times over with a blank one? No recovery option, and no autosave of backups. This software is unstable, and watered down indeed. The templates are very few, of very inferior design, and is only added after creating a page. The template should be available to be worked on at the new page starting process so that one can see, but it is added only after the work is done and it is being finally displayed on the browser. Kind of silly method for WYSIWYG. Its free, but it appears to be like a software designed in the basement of a garage. Poor indeed.

"extremely fast and very easy to use a # one"
Pros: I use windows xp home edition My machine is about 3 Yrs old. I have been looking for a extremly easy and all purpose web site generator for a long time (like several years) I have tried a lot. I have never found one quite this easy to run. I do say this, some have knocked this product. However, you must have either some knowledge of site generators, and a little knowledge of html, and please read and follow the instructions given, in some cases, they are kind of lacking, but if you have some knowledge. you can battle your way through. they also offer a Platium edition for a fee. However, I have not been that far to look at this feature. I can tell you, that for free, this is the best I have seen. to upload your web site is very easy, it uploads all, images and everthing all at the same time, with no problem, you do hafe to have the ftp for the site on hand and fill out the site info. in the build site part which is easy once you have this info. on hand.
Cons: Some of the documentation and use of the product leave you up in the air. but with a little work using the product you can accomplish about all you would want.
