CNET Editors' review
Send to Gmail offers users an opportunity to quickly and easily save important documents and utilize Gmail's enormous capacity for storing info. The program was a breeze to use and even managed to exceed our expectations with its added features.
While not much to look at, Send to Gmail's interface is enhanced by its simplicity. It offered a screen to input your Gmail information and then a simple instruction on how to operate the program using your mouse. The Options Menu had a little more flair, utilizing big icons that perfectly showcased its features. Overall, the entire program interface was so intuitive we did not see its lack of a Help file as being a drawback. Sending a document or entire file to your Gmail account was impressively easy. After we found the item we wished to back up, we simply right-clicked it and selected the Send to Gmail option and the item was shipped to our e-mail account in a matter of seconds. Even more impressive than this was the program's unexpected versatility. Offering features like sending to e-mail accounts other than Gmail and setting a schedule to regularly back up were both a matter of only a few button clicks.
With a simple interface and impressive features, this freeware is a great download for those who need to back up their information.

"great for what it is designed for"
Version: Send To GMail 2.2 build 209
Pros
does exactly what it claims and does it well
Cons
If this is what you want, it is great, if you want something else, like a full fledged backup program look elsewhere!
Summary
some of the reviews are upset as it will not do what they want ignoring what it is designed for. One says "You could do the same thing with your email software and attacements" this is true but not the point. I can send to gmail with simply two mouse clicks which is much more convenient. I use two computers in two locations continuously for several weeks at a time. when i finish with one i simply "send to Gmail" then download to the other and vice versa. Also quite handy to have my secretary to simply send me the accounting at the end of each day.
