Where the built-in and sluggish Windows Add or Remove Programs option fails, freeware Revo picks up the slack. It builds out a useful feature set on top of a fairly light, 1.5MB installation. Launching Revo fires up the Uninstaller screen, which shows icons and titles of all programs installed on your machine. You can change the View to List or Details, if you'd like more information. Right-clicking gives users a list of choices, from the fundamental like Uninstall and Remove from list, to Search Google, Show the installation directory, and quick access to the app's Help file, its About screen, and an Update link.
Revo also provides some powerful tools. Advanced mode adds program-specific Registry key access to the context menu. The Tools Optimizer holds the Autorun Manager, Windows Tools access screen, and a Junk File finder/killer. The Autorun Manager provides one-stop shopping for startup tweaking. Windows Tools pulls together various and disparate basic utilities under one umbrella, and the Junk killer is just killer.
The Tools Tracks Cleaner accesses cache-cleaning features, include standard browser cache functions as well as crash memory dump files, MS Office cleaners, system-wide and program-specific search histories, and more. Another cool function is the Hunter, which offers click-and-drag uninstall and process-killing functionality. Revo and the way that it will revolutionize your uninstall workflow is hard to pass up.

Not all leftovers are not uninstalled as in the windows Explorer folders Files.

Been using Revo Uninstall Free for years and it's always been great for comprehensive uninstalls, clearing out a lot of the crud that accompanies software and ins't cleared out by a standard Windows unstall.
Cons
Noticed recently, however, that with my latest laptop, running 64 bit Windows 7, Revo Free 1.93 does not list all programs. Bit of Googling and I discovered that although 1.39 is compatible, it will not display 64-big software. So it's potentially useless for a lot of software.
Summary
Long a great product, but free version is currently (Feb 2012) in dire need for some functionality updates.

I couldn't remove PDF995 completely using Vista, Revo did the job w/o any problem. Always a joy to have something that actually does properly what it days it can do! All I had to do after it removed the program was to delete the old program folder under "Programs". I can handle that much work...

I have used this secure user-friendly program for many years knowing that any unstable program and all its files that made its way onto my computer could be totally uninstalled. Sometimes these programs were unintentionally downloaded because it was piggybacked onto some other program I did want; or just by a mistake on my part. I can always be assured that no files lurk behind on my computer.
Cons
There is a learning curve that does take some attention to making sure that you are indeed getting rid of all traces of anything you want to uninstall.
Summary
Revo Uninstaller is one program that is always on any Computer I own.

It downloads quickly from the program files and to display all your programs There's a variety to how quickly you want to delete things.
Cons
There's not a shredder and bits are left behind that have to be hunted down in the program files but it rarely happens. You'll know to look when there are noticeable hiccups in programs related to what you tried to delete.

Uninstalled my antivirus instead of the selected software.Summary
I downloaded this Revo uninstaller because windows uninstaller could not find the software that i was trying to uninstall.
Unfortunately Revo Installer could not find it either, in fact it listed very few of the programs on my computer even after using the search feature.
So i used the hunter feature instead which allows you to drag the crosshairs onto the software that you wish to uninstall.
This seemed like a great feature until the Revo uninstaller uninstalled my Avira antivirus instead of the selected program.
The avira antivirus icon is no where near the software icon i selected so i have no idea why it chose to remove Avira instead.
So the next program i uninstalled was the Revo-uninstaller
