It's a quick, simple process to allow numerous applications access to files in ZIP, ISO, and Private Folder files. Pismo File Mount Audit Package's dialog interface is invoked through right-clicking select file types. Operation is intuitive for experienced users, and shouldn't take more than a few minutes for all others to learn.
Right-clicking a supported file gives access to Mount or Quick Mount. Mounting a file opens a short dialog. Users select visibility, access, and format options. None of the options takes more than a quick click. Quick Mounting merely installs the file with default options. After mounting, the file responds as a folder for many applications. Notepad can read a text file buried inside a ZIP file for one example. Unmounting a file takes just a second and one click on the context menu.
From installation to operation, Pismo File Mount Audit Package is very easy to add and use. This is the type of freeware utility experienced users add, use often, and wonder why the app wasn't a default Windows function.

From Pismo Technic :The Pismo File Mount Audit Package is a Windows extension that enables access to contents of ZIP, ISO, CFS (Compact File Set), CISO, ISZ, DAA, and PFO (Private Folder) files by any application. Supported file formats can be mounted as folders in the file system. Most zip archive files can be mounted as read-only folders to allow access to contents, including the ability to execute contained applications. DVD and CD images can be mounted in place as a read-only folder to allow access to contents. ISO, CISO, ISZ, and DAA image formats are supported.

"It didn't do what it said it would do."
Pros: I have nothing good to say.
Cons: It doesn't work.
Summary: I downloaded this program in order to be able to use a .daa image file, but the program did absolutely nothing for me. Thanks for nothing!

"Can't believe it's FREE; worth at least 30 bucks"
Pros: Does precisely what it's supposed to do. (I can't believe this class of product is not better-known.) No need to pay for something like WinMount (which should also be better-known.)
Cons: Looks/feels like a freeware product, i.e. there isn't much attention paid to "polishing" the UI. For example, you can't right-click the tray icon for a menu. Looks kind of 1995-ish. Really not much of a "con" but this section is called "Cons:" so...

"SIMPLE - No need to buy and burn DVDs. - BRILLIANT!!!"
Pros: Its just easy - adds a right-mouse click to mount any ISO file, among other extensions. no waiting - immediate access to the files, then just run it as if it were a DVD, except without the waiting. Couldn't be better, or easier.
Cons: The only con is that this is not pre-installed on Windows systems - its a utility that every PC should have.
