Publisher's Description
From David Harris:
Pegasus Mail is a free, standards-based electronic mail client suitable for use by single or multiple users on single computers or on local area networks. It has special support for Novell NetWare LANs that allow it to operate intuitively and with almost no maintenance. Pegasus Mail gives you multiple viewing options; automated rule-based filtering and content control; MailMerge and distribution list functions; support for SMTP, POP3, IMAP4, LDAP, and PH protocols; comprehensive HTML mail generation; address books with aliasing functions; and even a spelling checker.

"Not what it is made out to be."
Version: Pegasus Mail 4.63
Pros
Works fine if you can conquer the learning curves of setting it up. For the average user that is not going to happen.
Cons
Much too complicated to set up and the only way to remove it is formatting the PC. (The Only Way)
Summary

"Horrible,,, can't get it out of the pc,,,"
Version: Pegasus Mail 4.63
Pros
None what so ever,,,
Cons
1- did not open .eml extension files
2- no "Uninstall"
3- even after using control panel; you will not be able to get "pegasus html" out of the system, it works on start up and keeps working not allowing removal,,,,Summary
DO NOT INSTALL!!!

"Looked promising"
Version: Pegasus Mail 4.63
Pros
Appeared to contain many features
Cons
A cow to configure to email accounts.
Only one of 2 parts would uninstall. The "Pegasus HTML Renderer" didn't show up on the Task Master or any file searches but wouldn't uninstall on the grounds that it was running.Summary
If it installed and uninstalled OK it just "might" be good but I'm still looking for a second program as good as Mozilla Thunderbird.

"worseless and a complete waste of time"
Version: Pegasus Mail 4.63
Pros
obviously none
Cons
asks for the wrong information.
it is a chaos of buttons and functions.
the client doesn't do what it is supposed to do, like getting mail from your server or webclient.Summary
waste of the effort put in it and a waste of time to dl, install and setting it up.

"The thing that wouldn't leave"
Version: Pegasus Mail 4.63
Pros
It does lots of things that I may, or may not have needed.
Cons
I found it hard to figure out - it refused to send mail. Didn't understand the error message. Wouldn't let me change the stmp address. Uninstalled Pegasus email. Won't let me uninstall the html generator.
Summary
It probably doesn't make any difference if the html generator remains in the computer, but I don't like it. Pegagus is running I'm told - but Pegasus had been uninstalled. This is probably a good email client, but too high-blown for me. It didn't want to send my mail, so I kissed it goodbye.

"Excellent free and fast email client!"
Version: Pegasus Mail 4.63
Pros
Loads very speedily on my new laptop, better then any of the other programs I tried for email, not bloated, its very simple for my needs and its right to the point.
Cons
None that I can think of.
Summary
My curiosity had me going to see if there was actually alternatives to open sourcing such as Sea Monkey, and Mozilla Firefox, well, I heard of Pegasus Email, and being I had to do a system recovery on my laptop, I decided to give this a try. This thing loads in seconds and brings up the menu right away. Previous apps such as Mozilla Thunderbird took awhile to load up on first launch. This is pure simplicity so its hard to determine if its appropriate for a power user or not. But I'm not looking for fancy bells and whistles.
