Partition Logic is a hard disk partitioning and data management tool. It can create, delete, format, defragment, resize, and move partitions and modify their attributes. It can copy entire hard disks from one to another.
Can't say, but don't take too much notice of some of the other reviews here. They're clearly trying to run it from Windows, when you're actually supposed to boot the machine from the CD!!!
Cons
I'm sure this is fine, but it wouldn't recognise the disks in my Dell Precision M4300 - roughly a two year old laptop, so not exactly bleeding edge in terms of drivers etc. (0.69 & 0.7 pre release tested)

Version .69 bDoesn't Work!!!
ansonee
Pros
Small download...can create image from ISO easily
Cons
The product doesn't even get past the welcome screen...locks up laptop completely!
Summary
I was looking for a free disk management tool and finally found one...that doesn't work! I don't know what the issue is, but there's nothing wrong with either of my laptops or my desktop. Partition Logic doesn't work on ANY of my machines! When I try to run it on my XP machine, it doesn't get past the "Detecting PS/2 mouse..." message...I'm sorely disappointed in this product.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Oct 11, 2008<p/>...and to all of those who keep harping about people not knowing how to use it, it seems everyone on here who has had issues folllowed the instructions precisely! I know I did. I took the .iso and made an image on CD and boot from that image. Does not work!!!

Pros
Couldn't use it
Cons
I deleted it after downloading and bringing it up because it would not do what I required of it. Did not see a USB drive.

Doesn't Resize NTFS Partitions!
bluewaterbob
Pros
I connected my new drive with a USB connector, booted with the CD, and did a disk copy to the new drive. No problem at all, but...
Cons
afterwards it wouldn't allow me to resize the partition to take advantage of the larger hard drive. It did allow me to make the extra space a 2nd partition/drive, but not what I want. Still looking for a free program to resize NTFS partition.

Pros
I was looking for free software to combine partitions and this was easy and worked.<p>You can download it here:<p>partitionlogic.org.uk/download/index.html<p>Cnet really needs to update their posting to the latest version, I think that's why there are so many complaints
Cons
Only complain is that cnet doesn't point to the latest version.

Could be good - BUT DOESN'T WORK

Pros
I''d love this to work but it doesn't
<p>Tried several times to get this program to work - even uploading the latest direct dowload from their website
Cons
Booting up using the .ISO file results in their equivalent of BSD with lots of 'failed to recognise' messages! It would be helpful to have a txt file alongside the iso install file to assist - especially with troubleshooting answers to overcome the problems!

Pros
The download contains an ISO file. Probably meant to boot from, but I prefer to manage my partitions from the OS itself.

Pros
Cons
Software failed to complete loading on my laptop. I made several boot attempts all unsuccessful. Software froze on detecting the drive.
Summary
Does not work indeed
vikkostov
Pros
I liked the fact that it came free of charge.
Cons
It simply does not work. In this case cannot see how can I give it more than one star. Several times froze during different stages of the booting up. I burnde the image again, and tried an older version of the program. To no avail. Sometimes the PC did not even boot from the CD. The manual is not systematic and logical. Basically one has to have quite some experience with computers in order to guess how to start the software.
