Though you may not need all this full-performance enhancer has to offer, you'll find it capable of almost anything. PC Optimizer lays out each of its performance pieces in guided categories, such as System Tools, File Tools, and Security Tools. Its system-tools area details used and free space and blocks unwanted start-up programs from running. You can also scan and dump unwanted junk files, temp files, and duplicates from any drive or folder, although scanning is a bit slow. Secured deletion also works well but slowly, and you can choose from one of five deletion methods or define your own number of wipes. The program gives a complete list of deleted items and can wipe the disk space clean as well. PC Optimizer has standard Registry tools, such as for backing up, cleaning, restoring, and system defragmenting. As if that's not enough, you'll also be able to clean up some Windows and online tracks from surfing with Internet Explorer, Opera, and Netscape. Though users of all levels may find themselves drawn to one or two areas, we recommend you let PC Optimizer scan your system using all its muscle. You'll like what it can do.Publisher's description

It features Privacy Protector, which removes all unwanted traces in your system; System Cleaner, which removes junk and obsolete files from your system; Manage AutoRun Programs, which lets you control which program should be run at start-up and logon; Memory Optimizer, which optimizes the memory management of Windows; and Find Duplicate Files, which finds and removes the duplicate files from your system. Regcleaner cleans the Windows Registry. Registry Defrag optimizes the Registry by defragging it. Secure Delete lets you safely erase deleted data so it cannot be recovered again.

Pros: In the past I have never had good experiences with these kinds of products, because I would spend so much time downloading on dial-up only to find out that they don't fix them until you buy the product. Not this one. This one actually gives you the full version without having to purchase. It cleaned out my junk files and did everything else that the review states! I live in the mountains where there is no cable, and this is the only product that has made my system not only work better, but faster. I normally don't spend $39 on this kind of software but I can tell you that when my trial ends-I'm buying it!!

"Good utility, I haven't come across a better one yet"
Summary: This software is easy to use, works fast, and cleans up the trash on your pc, that you never knew existed. I'm trying the trial version, and am finding it to be pretty neat.
