This multifeatured but slightly unstable utility suite offers a wide array of system tools. MindSoft Utilities XP's stylish interface provides easy access to a memory optimizer, a disk defragmenter and cleaner, a Registry cleaner, a file-security manager, and diagnostic tools for analyzing your system and speeding up your computer and Internet speed.

Don't worry about things going wrong. MindSoft Utilities XP can back up your Registry and and create restoration points, enabling you to roll back any changes in your system to its previous state. Advanced users will definitely love the numerous features, while novice users will appreciate the detailed Web-based help file.

Our one major complaint was that we received error messages each time we tried a system restore. On a less serious note, the 14-day trial is hardly enough time to try everything this suite has to offer. However, in a way that's a good thing. Users looking to keep their systems in tip-top shape should give MindSoft Utilities XP a good look.
