Pros: it's free?
Cons: went to sites that are obviously spyware/virus-filled and my spyware terminator alerted me and panda cloud also...tried defender, but it didn't awak from its' slumber
Summary: get avg, get avast, get panda...don't get defender.

Pros: IMPROVED DATABASE - matches with Microsoft security essentials
NO memory usage on XP Pro on windows 7 it will cuz windows 7 sucks
excellent real-time blocked alotCons: all users who are complaining about WD and saying it sucks are stupid and are idiotic. Never trust anyone who says this
Summary: Love it.. 2 years ago it was crap now it is really improved. Thumbs up for Microsoft

Pros: Well it's one of the few free spyware removers with real-time protection.
Cons: It has never detected anything through real-time detection, or scans. Very limited update options. Updates rarely.
Summary: My antivirus seems to be doing all the work in my computer, because Windows Defender has detected nothing, so I don't find any reason why to have it installed, and running taking up resources.

Pros: None that I can think of.
Cons: I have had this on my computer now for a few years now and it has never detected anything, unlike my other free anti-spyware and my Mcafee.
