"I have not had a chance to use it enough."
Version: Meteo 1.5.5
Pros
With the little time that I have used it, it seems tobe a handy app to have.
Cons
None to report so far.

"FINALLY - BACK TO "OLD SELF"!!"
Version: Meteo 1.5.5
Pros
I have been a loyal user for years - it is a nicely featured, simple to use & handy app! But starting with 1.53 & continuing with 1.54, the app crashed (I have updated iMac with MacOS 10.6.7). Luckily, I kept version 1.52 & used it until this update.
Cons
No excuse for taking so long to correct bug!! I would have been pissed if I had not saved version #1.52!! Hope they did not lose many customers!!
Summary
LESSON LEARNED: Do not automatically "replace" an old version of beloved app with new one, unless you are SURE the new version is working properly!! And you are SURE you do not have to pay again for that new version!!

"Crashes - will not run"

Nothing good to say about 1.5.4
Cons
Unuseable version
Summary
Do not upgrade to 1.5.4 - wait till they fix the bug.

"Meteo 1.5.4 does not work"
Version: Meteo 1.5.4
Pros
The best for free
Cons
periodic unreliable updates
Summary
Latest update 'dead in the water" on OSX 10.5.8; backtracked to 1.5.3...boots but does not function, can't even update or quit. Downloaded 1.5.2... sigh!, back to normal

"1.5.3 crashes when I try to add a city"
Version: Meteo 1.5.3
Pros
Been using this for a long time. Staying with 1.5.2. Gives me all the info I want, quickly and with no problems
Cons
1.5.3 crashes when I try to add a city
Summary
I have been using this for a long time, haven't found anything better.
-
"So far no problems, I like it."
Version: Meteo 1.5.2
Pros
Works as advertised, no issues. It is very customizable.
Cons
None so far.
Summary
I like this program, it is very similar to a program I used to use but lost when I had a crash. I like this one a bit better, so far it is working well. You can tweak it to your specs. The best part is it's FREE!!!

"Update loop fixed? Nope."
Version: Meteo 1.5.2
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Well, I thought perhaps I should have knocked on wood because after about two weeks of a pleasant surprise--where the thing didn't get caught up in the infamous update loop...
It's back.
I guess I'm frankly baffled and surprised that such a great utility otherwise is so vexed with this seemingly unique problem. WeatherBug and WeatherDock don't have this problem. Never have. What is wrong with the coding here? Surely the same inspired ingenuity that gave us such a wonderful little utility can figure this out?
Unfortunately once again, in what has become a now five-year disappointment with Meteo, I am back to WeatherBug.
While it's great to have something "pretty", what we really need is something that works reliably--especially now that it's hurricane season.
I'm just afraid that I can no longer recommend Meteo, much less use it.
I just have no confidence anymore that the problem will ever be fixed. -
"great program"
Version: Meteo 1.5.2
Pros
easy to use, good gui interface
Cons
none that i can find
-
"Useful menu bar add-on to know your local weather"
Version: Meteo 1.5.2
Pros
It is nice to be able to know at a glance the temperature and to get, by just clicking, extended reports with all sorts of interesting data. It is able to get the weather for more than one city, which is very handy when you have to travel.
Cons
Sometimes it is not able to connect to the weather service from which it gets its data. That's due to changes in the programming of the site of that service, so the only fix possible is waiting for an update of this add-on.
Summary
A must have (not only for weather junkies)
