Loki Network allows you to surf the Internet anonymously and hides your real location (IP address). Everything you do through the Loki Network is done from the name of the Loki Network server and from its IP address. Connection between your computer and Loki Network is secured with SSL.

However, to protect your anonymity you still have to be careful about any data you fill in Web forms and network applications you use locally (any locally running application still have the complete access to your real IP address).

doesn't work, causes a Lot* of extra unnecessary work, headaches, frustration
Summary
Look, if it doesn't work, at least say* so on the "Download" page before* folks try to use it, and possibly mess up what equiment they have left... (or suggest what it Might* still work with). *Personally, I Love CNet's knowledgebase and "How-To" explanations, guides... but it's things like this that are pretty disappointing, & dis-Heartening*, to know that it came from* Cnet*. If for nothing more than a Customer-Service 'good deed', one of the mighty IT gurus could work with the (2) problem VPN customers

Would have been nice to know that there was a 30 minute limit and that it could take that long just to connect, and that it slows down the browser to a crawl!!

it works - with caveat below - no malware detected as others have mentioned

It does work as a VPN however as a "free" product your transfer rates are limited severely - only if you UPgrade (code for pay for premium service) does bandwidth increase to acceptable levels.

Should at least mention this in description. But ya get what ya pay for I guess.

Hijacked my network and was taking full bandwidth - the executable doing this is masked by the virus - but a more basic scan of network traffic confirms this.

Successfully 'changes your address' and easy to turn off when not needed. Easy to install, great for beginners
Cons
slows down online work, but easily turned off and on to suit specific needs

Easy to install and use, doesn't interfere with the firewall or other programs, and does exactly what it says it will do. Anyone familiar with this type of program knows that it will likely slow online work, but this one can be switched on and off at will. I like it.

Effectively disguises your IP, if that is what you are looking for.
Cons
Since installing this product, I have been riddled with Malware. They say it is spyware free, but you could have fooled me. Reinstalled OS, computer is clean, installed this again and back to the spyware fight.
