Trace the communication beteween your browser and the server it is connected to.

Trace the low level communication between your browser and a web server. See the HTTP commands, and server responses. You can see response time and byte counts, and get file names that are downloading. HttpTracer is a web tracing program that captures communication between a browser and web server in the native HTTP syntax. HttpTracer acts as a local proxy and captures HTTP browser Requests and the Server Responses including headers, response codes, HTML, JavaScript, CSS files, XML, graphics file names. HttpTracer breaks up browser session into request/response conversations and shows all text commands and data returned to the browser.

I tried a number of these. This one shines in its simplicity and thoroughness. Shows you HTTP bodies, which a number of tools won't do (onl y headers).

I used this to figure out why a VB product had a different request than MS IE browser. It worked very well. I would actually like even more detail in the reports, but it did the job.
