This nifty little freeware program lets you easily create shortcuts for a variety of purposes. WebKey resides in your system tray and offers a simple right-click menu to create, enable, and disable shortcuts. Select Show to find a plain interface with only two columns: Action and Hotkey. Click next to the check mark under Action to open a simple window that lets you add a number of actions, including opening programs and Web pages, and sending an e-mail. There's a Browse tool to help you locate files, and WebKey offers sample actions to help guide you in creating your own. Choose the keys you wish associated with the action, hit Save and your shortcut is ready to use. There's no Help file, but one isn't really necessary. There's nothing to complain about this program, and it's so simple even the novice can use it to create effective shortcuts.

I have been looking for a program like this for a while. I always wanted a program which would work with any keyboard (as opposed to specific ones with their own programs) and launch programs I desired using the Function keys. Seeing as how Windows only uses a couple function keys normally (F1-3, F5), the others could be used for SOMETHING. This is better than other programs I have seen available for specific keyboards insofar as you can configure EVERY key combination to launch a certain program or URL! It can be Alt, CTRL, Shift, or any combination thereof with any other key on the keyboard, Function or alphanumeric! Definitely for those who are tired of clicking their way through the Start Menu! Hats off to an excellent little program!
