This parental utility monitors and guards your PC against spyware, but it lacks flexibility to respond to user needs. The majority of its features are easily configurable through a simple dialog list activated via the system tray icon. To protect privacy, JAAScois PC Monitor clears your browser's history, cache, cookies, and recent documents list. In our tests, the program was able to block some adult-oriented Web sites and disable administrative tools including task manager and control panel applets.
Security is a prime feature of JAAScois PC Monitor. It is password-protected, preventing others from modifying settings, disabling, or uninstalling the program. However, unlike similar utilities, it lacks modifiable settings. Although it provides real-time monitoring, the program doesn't record computer or surfing activities. Additionally, JAAScois PC Monitor only works with Internet Explorer, excluding other popular browsers like Netscape and Mozilla. Its stingy nine-day trial period is too short. While some features worked fairly well, it isn't difficult for any level user to locate more competent and flexible parental software.
