Version: Instan-t Messenger 5
Pros: Has a great, good-looking little interface, and it seems to run very fast. Lots of emoticons. The best part is that it works with my computer better than pidgin ever did, but that's most likely my computer, and not pidgin. :) I do like the interface and functionality a lot better than pidgin though. It isn't compatible with as many IM networks as pidgin, but it has google talk, along with all the other major networks. G-talk compatiblity is really all I needed, along with the other major networks. Pidgin compatibilities is more or less an overkill, IMHO.

Version: Instan-t Messenger 5
"Does not work with Yahoo. Period."
Pros: Don't know, uninstalled immediately.
Cons: All connection attempts to Yahoo failed. MSN worked, but this is a multi-IM client, so if a MAJOR one does not work, we should stick to the native client then.
Summary: UI: old, simple, NT-4 like with some flourishing, nothing special. 2 of 5.
Functionality: Yahoo connection failed, MSN worked. 1 of 5. Since Yahoo connection did not worked at all, I didn't tested further. - See all 2 user reviews Write review
