Was great while it worked.
October 2012 update killed it in my computers. Windows gives error messages that nobody is able to figure out. "Support" at the publisher (Word Search) is basically non-existent.
This is very disappointing. The publisher (Word Search) seems uninterested in addressing the problem. Suggest caution.
Popup scripture plus hotkey insertion. Many versions available and easy to switch from one to the other. Not know why some say it does'nt work in Vista. I am a pastor and use it everyday in Vista. All features are functional. It is a delight to use.
Popup works in WIn7 but not the scripture insertion hotkeys. Wish they would upgrade the software. I would pay again for a WIN7 functional version.
Great program ...needs a WIN7 version for scripture hot-key insertion.
Works good in Word and Firefox with Vista
Fails often with IE8 and Vista
I have compared the effects of Insta verse in IE8 using Vista and Firefox using Vista. Over and over Insta verse fails in IE8 with Vista and succeeds with identical websites using Firefox in Vista.
IWordsearch has not perfected InstaVerse in the Vista environment using IE 8.
Works well in XP
No longer have to open Bible program separately
Did not try with IE but did with Firefox (latest)
Will not work
EZWORD nor Instaverse works in Vista
Tried Instaverse first for free - would not work, BOUGHT EZWORD for $10 and it wouldn't work - but - not all is lost as both worked on desktop with XP.
Instant pop up(s) - works well in IE8, also with Eudora etc.
WordSearch says it is working for a specific version for Vista, but that is very questionable. A year ago or better, they informed me they would have a Vista version out soon. Strangely enough, they still haven't accomplished that huge feat.
Overall, this still works very well in Vista spite the fact it is not supposed to be Vista compatible and it works well in the number one e-mailer, which is Eudora!
Works well with XP.
Verse pops up when cursor is placed over reference in numerous programs.
Can quickly open a window to look up a verse.
Many Bible versions available at reasonable cost.
DOES NOT work with Vista.
No list of previous verses, to avoid reentering reference.
WordSearch has no projected date for upgrade to Vista.
Having used InstaVerse (also known as EZWord from LifeWay) for many years, I found it to be a great little program to quickly access a verse in a Bible of choice. Works great in Win XP, but is incompatible with Vista, and likely Win 7 as well. As a Vista x64 user...I sure miss this handy program!

Actually, InstaVerse will work with Vista to a certain point, but the company is refusing (which they are actually doing) to make this Vista compatible per se.
I've been told they are working to this end and it will be out soon. But I was told this same thing a year ago, so let's face it, WordSearch is really not serious about making this a 100% Vista compatible program. I mean, how long does it take to make a small program like this so it is Vista compatible per se? It sure doesn't take months, nor does it take 2 years.
Conclusion? WordSearch is not too excited or too serious about putting to much effort into this little program. Next?
