With its step-by-step process, Free ISO to USB makes it really easy to move an ISO image to a USB drive. While this process will be welcomed by beginners, a drag-and-drop setup would be more fun for more advanced users. Nevertheless, if you need a really basic program, this is the one you want.

This program takes you through a straightforward, four-step process to find and move the file you want. Since you can't skip steps, you might get bored if you already know how to find the file and just need software to do the moving or burning. However, if you're a beginner, this process will prove quite useful. If you stumble into an error, the software will tell you why you got the error and what you can do in the future to avoid it. It won't let you advance unless you do exactly what it tells you to in each step. Free ISO to USB's interface is smooth, but it does look a little clunky on larger screens. The program detects USB gadgets well and moves things remarkably quickly.

If you need software to help you transfer or burn ISO files with ease, Free ISO to USB is the answer. Since it wants to hold your hand every step of the way, rookie users will love it. If this is your first time, downloading this program isn't a bad idea. It will take you through all of the notes you need to hit to get a smooth transfer.

"Virus City"

January 24, 2015  |  By Dragont00th

 |  Version: Free ISO to USB 1.0

Pros

It works if you can come out of the other side of the crapware with your PC intact.

Cons

Downloaded using the direct download link to avoid the all-destroying CNET Installer.

Yet Still, Crapware apon crapware. Crashed chrome and ruined a heap of my downloads that set me back hours to install hijackers. Installed trojans and all sorts as well.

Summary

For anyone who has been caught, IObit Uninstaller should fix most of the problems for you if you can stop the junk from destroying everything first.

For anyone Else who is looking at this, RUN. Run as fast as your tiny little legs can carry you. try Rufus portable

"Downloads Trojans, Hijackers and other junk files."

December 08, 2014  |  By Outdoorguy236

 |  Version: Free ISO to USB 1.0

Pros

Absolutely NONE!

Cons

This allowed several add-ons including a Trojan, two Hijackers, and several junk files to my computer. I've been able to rid myself of all but two very agressive hijackers, which will take additional, manual effort. I've known for a long time that MAJORGEEKS works in the same way. If the site says "FREE DOWNLOAD" odds are this will happen.

Summary

Never again!

"Download.com installer is outrageous"

November 28, 2014

 |  Version: Free ISO to USB 1.0

Pros

Download.com installer should be banned.

Cons

DON'T INSTALL! Download.com installer is full of malware, e.g. shopping helper smartbar. It had to restart 4 windows times to completely remove it.

Summary

Today is the last time I use download.cnet.com after 15+ years in ICT. I remember back in mid 90s it was an excellent platform to download software. Nowadays it'st just malware spreading site.
