DisableMobsync for Windows

Free program to disable Vista mobsync.exe. Mobsync.exe is almost impossible to disable on Windows Vista. Even with offline files disabled, indexing disabled and no SyncCenter tasks existing in task scheduler, this annoying program is activated whenever a USB drive type of device is connected. This program functions by adding an ACL to mobsync.exe that disables traveral/execution permission for all users, which is harder than it sounds, since changes to mobsync.exe are guarded by TrustedInstaller ownership.

If you can't stand for useless programs to be constantly starting up for no good reason, and even worse, hate it when you can't stop such useless activity, you'll find this program useful. BTW, if you want to use Vista offline files synchronization for any reason, you obviously wouldn't want to disable mobsync.exe. Also, note that this program must be run with administrator privileges.
