This program helps you create standard and self-extracting ZIP archives. After a quick installation, you can automatically launch ExpressZIP and start working. The main window resembles WinZip. When you click the New button, the software opens a wizard that guides you through the creation process. While you're dropping files into the new ZIP archive, you can choose to replace files of the same name, refresh existing files, or update files of the same name. You can set the compression from None to Low, Medium, or Maximum. You can even protect the file with a password. The software can e-mail your archive through your mail client or immediately burn it to a CD or DVD. You can view files in the archive by selecting them, then clicking the View button. The program offers to scan files for viruses and to transform the final file into a self-extracting EXE. The useful interface and easy-to-understand menu contribute to ExpressZIP's performance, making it suitable for all users.Publisher's description

Version: ExpressZIP 4.5
Pros: For those of you that like plain-jane - this is okay. If you are like me, very much Novice then I'd keep lookin.
I even find WinZip confusing. The only one I've found so far that is pretty easy to use is PKWare 9.0 also StuffIt and StuffIt Expander are simple - ez to use. Coffee Zip is another Good one, quick simple and to the point!
Cons: Just not a green-horn type software - I couldn't get past first base! Very Plain-Jane software.

Version: ExpressZIP 4.5
Cons: I can't figure out how this software works. It is not a user friendly interface and it's help file isn't. Some one with more experience might be fine with it but a newbie needs help and its not here.

Version: ExpressZIP 4.5
"needs better intergration into other zip formats"
Pros: Not much at all
Cons: The trial period was not necessary, I uninstalled it in one short day
