You can browse remote files from within My Computer and save and edit directly from within your all existing applications like Word or Excel. It enhances all existing applications by providing secure drive to access to Linux & Unix directly over SSH - no additional configuration necessary. It just works.
What's new in this version: Version 1.8.4 has added all new auto-updater based on WinSparkle auto-update framework and fixed issue where ExpanDrive would cause DFS mounted drives to function poorly while ExpanDrive was running.

"Reliably does what it is supposed to."
Version: ExpanDrive 1.8.4
Pros
Simple to use. Reliable. Received free updates for v1 for many years before v2 came out this year. The update to v2 was inexpensive and now includes a license for both the Mac and PC version.
Cons
None that I know of.
Summary
If you have a use for making an sftp connection look like a drive there is nothing like expandrive. I've never experienced dropped connections the way the other reviewer reports.
