• Egis Tech software is like buying a virus

  Easy to install. Pre-installed on Acers.

  Cons

  Pre-installed on Acers. Very, very difficult to uninstall. Breaks Windows backup. Easy to install, does damage to your computer and is then very difficult to remove - sounds like a virus to me. Actually, viruses are easier to remove. I'll never by another Acer or anything from Egis Tech.

  Summary

  Why would any legitimate software not be easily uninstalled? Go ahead and buy this SPAM. I warned you.

  Pros

  I don't need it or want it. It is part of the bloatware that seems to have crept into so many new computers.

  Cons

  This product came preinstalled on my Acer. I have tried to delete it along with MyWinLocker from my computer and it will not go away. I have tried Programs and Features, Revo Uninstaller, IObit uninstaller,and MicrosoftInstall Cleanup. None work. I had to recover my hard drive after trying to delete all the files then turning off system processes to delete the ones that Windows would not let me delete otherwise. I have searched through dozens of websites, including Microsoft forums for a way to uninstall this program.

  Summary

  If you don't need it, don't install it.

  Seems to be about as good as Eraser, or other free software

  Cons

  Cannot be uninstalled through Win 7 or other (CCleaner) methods.

  Summary

  There are better and free programs available.

  Pros

  I came across files that wouldn't delete normally, so somehow I clicked around and found the "Shredder". Got rid of my unwanted files.

  Don't have any. Haven't used the new update yet

  I had an earlier version of egis tec and when I downloaded this trail version it upgraded my version and deactivated my previous version and wont let me use it anymore.after the 30 days.....

  Now I cant use either of them !!!!!

• Easy & Fast

  Pros

  It is very easy to use with the simple user interface. It is secure as well. Those shredded files cannot be recovered by the recovery tools. And the speed is quite fast.

  Cons

  The previously deleted data or internet history shredding is not supported. More shredding functions will be better.

  Summary

  Very useful if you want to clear the unwanted but important files. Hope the updated versions will come soon.

• Simple and Cool while faster than others

  Pros

  1. It's very fast to remove a bunch of files and folders in comparison with other softwares. 2. Quite simple user interface and easy to use. 3. The algorithm adopted is robust enough.

  Cons

  1. It's better to have a higher level shredding, such as in the partition-based or disk-based. 2. Not sure if it can be two-level shredding. One can be recovered but with a certain protection. Another just totally clean all the data physically.

  Summary

  Quite simple to use with very practical functionalities. Worth download and keep.

• Simple & fast on shredding speed with large files

  Pros

  it's simple and easy to use. It only took me 2 mins to shred 2G files. (FAT system) The US DoD algorithm is also a reliable choice.

  Cons

  it's better if there will be system shredding function. Currently there is file and folder shredding function only.

  Summary

  I like this product because it's really easy to use and the shredding speed is faster than others.

  Pros

  It is good and easy to use. Only need a short time to shred even a large size file. Put the unwanted file into recycle bin is not really safe. A tool like this helps. I like it.

  Cons

  Nothing much I noticed.
