Just be patient, a window pops up showing all the files that I will be able to restore; once you hit OK there, it proceeds to restore the partition.Summary
Man, I almost died! KDE partition tool crashed halfway through shrinking my data partition! All my stuff! My work stuff! My games, music, books! GONE! Panicked search on the internet for options. Some "FREE" tools that scanned my disk for 2 hours found half the files, then wanted me to buy it if I wanted the files.. SIGH! Then I found EASUS Partition Recovery. I first tried selecting the partition but that didn't find the lost one; then used the sector range, and it found it! Recovered it! All set! Highly recommended

(Nearly) idiot-proof interface. Does what it says it will do.
You slide the partition markers about, to where you want extra space; you press Go, and your machine restarts to do all the work in "DOS" mode. Then you restart; and Voila! Brand new partitions.Cons
Sometimes, the program just stops working. Scary x 10! But it certainly seems as if the effects do not "take" unless the program completes, because I haven't lost a system yet. (Used the program about six times so far.)
Summary
Enlarging a partition = one action.
Shifting a neighboring partition = another action
Etc. Etc.
By the time you are ready to go you might find the program indicating it is ready to comple eight or nine actions. My advice for the faint hearted: don't do more than four actions at a time. Better 4x2 than eight x 1 or more.
Bottom line: It's free; it works like it isn't free—& I will continue to use the program. 'nuf said? -

Delivers package of "Incredimail" which is a known piece of malware, which slows down boot time, prevents access to the control panel uninstall programs option, and also hijacks your browser and search providers. Even the program's icons keep reappearing on the systray and desktop after manual deletion.

I accidentally deleted the extended partition from the Computer management of Windows XP.
I have 4 hard disks, each one brought for the purpose of recovering the data from the previous hard disk. I did the same mistake many times. I didn't have a choice except for buying a new hard disk for recovering the data from the old one. Windows has one of the most dangerous partition management system.
One of the reason why i switched to Ubuntu and Linux mint. (Though i use both windows and linux equally, i find the partition management system in GNU/Linux highly advanced by leaps and bounds when compared to windows}
And then the fateful thing happened. I tried to delete the GNU/Linux partition from Computer management > Disk Management in Windows XP. (I swear i will never use computer management for managing partitions....). I wanted to install Ubuntu 11.10 and then the fateful thing happened.
Along with the linux partition went my extended partition as well. . . .partitions that contained my photos, videos documents and many other important stuffs. I desperately wanted to recover the data, but by my experience with many recovery softwares, my hopes were very low or to say hopeless. I didn't want to buy another hard disk, as though some data can be recovered from the hard disks from recovery softwares, not all the data recovered are reliable. Any one who has gone through the experience of losing valuable data just because of a moment of human (also machine) error, will know how it feels.
So one important commandment, for all windows users who are hyperactive or those like me who do things before they think.
"Thou shalt not use Disk Management of Windows to manage your partitions. Thou shalt not create, delete or even open this forbidden part of windows".
I have tried many recovery softwares like PC Inspector file recovery, recuva, PC recovery and many others. All had very poor outputs and the recovered files were not reliable. Many of the recovered data were corrupted. Those softwares are great to some extent, but couldn't help me.
I began searching the internet and then i was led to this odd named program which i thought was another loser among its kind.
I downloaded it throught CNET and just for the sake of trying, tried.
Within few minutes of installation, i opened the program and ran it. I was wonderstruck and stunned by the way it detected the partitions. It not only detected the partitions i just deleted but also the partitions i had accidentally deleted 3 years back!!!!. I couldn't believe my eyes.
One by one i inserted my old hard disks (2 western digital and 1 seagate, all 500 GB capacity), and like Magic!!! my partitions along with the data got recovered. Though some files were corrupted, it was not Easeus fault as i had selected multiple partitions that overlapped, a warning Easeus clearly gives during the process. its purely human error... my error.
Oh! how i wish i could have got this software earlier!!!.
This is one of the... if not THE BEST ONE among the softwares of this category.
I am ever thankful for the developers of this amazing, stunning genius software and also thank CNET for giving me an opportunity to write a review of this little piece of heavenly archangel!!!

Summary
I've tried it twice with a usb device and it failed to recognize both. Then again, none of over 15 software pieces worked, so I think it may have been a mechanical problem.

Summary
I was re-installing Windows on my main pc and had forgotten my 500gb USB drive was still plugged in. When it got to the stage of deleting old partitions I accidentally deleted the one on the external HDD - did I panic!! Everything is on there - work files, family photos, music, films etc, etc.
I had almost resolved to having lost everything when I found Easus Partition Recovery and within an hour of downloading ALL was back in place with no loss whatsoever.

There are so many file and partition recovery programs that either don't work or want $50 for the version that does that I only found this by accident.Summary
Excellent for me following running a utility that repartitioned the wrong drive (my fault!). Everything working 15 mins after download -most of which was scanning a 1Tb hard drive.
